(KAIR) -- Another young professional is returning to the region to open a new chiropractic business in Atchison.
Melinda Pregont plans to open Trusted Care Chiropractic in March at 310 Commercial Street.
Pregont, a former basketball player at Benedictine College, says her background in athletics got her interested in the chiropractic field.

She then went on to Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, graduating magna cum laude in 2012.
Pregont says she will be able to treat anyone, but her training focus is in pediatrics.

She says her practice will also feature acupuncture.
Her hours are not finalized yet, but she says she plans to be open into the evening hours a couple of nights a week to accommodate the working community.
