Victoria A. Shopteese, 64, of Topeka, passed away Friday, February 21, 2025 at the Advena Living on Tenth, Topeka, KS. She was born April 24, 1960 in Topeka, KS the daughter of Irving and Inez (Dodds) Shopteese. Victoria obtained her GED and attended Haskell University in Lawrence, KS.

She was a member of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation in Mayetta, KS.

Victoria was a devoted homemaker who dedicated her life caring for her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Irving and Inez; son, Derek “Wabski” R. Shopteese; a brother, Randall Shopteese and a sister, Linda Zephier.

Survivors include her two daughters, Jana Shopteese and Jennifer Wood both of Topeka, KS; four sons, Jesse Kitterman of KCMO, Jason Wood of Topeka, KS, Joshua Kitterman of Galena, MO and Nigel Matchie of Topeka, KS; two brothers, Dennis Shopteese of Topeka and Irving Shopteese of Mayetta, KS; 14 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be held 10:30 A.M. Thursday, February 27, 2025 at the Danceground Cemetery. Victoria will lie-in-state from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton.
