Michael Kenneth Denton, 71, of Atchison, Kansas died February 3, 2025, at KU medical in Kansas City, KS, surrounded by his family.

Michael was born July 6, 1953, in Fort Riley, Kansas, the son of Kenneth and Rosalie (Lawrence) Denton. He married Tina White on Aug. 12, 2007, and she survives at home. Mike was a proud member of the Kansas City, MO Iron Workers Local 10. He is considered a Legend Ironworker by his peers, which his friends and family were very proud of. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, boats, hot rod cars, coaching little league, beaches and anything that met spending time in the water.

He is survived by his wife Tina, daughter, Heather Denton, son, Michael (Molly) Denton, four grandchildren, Abrie Handke, Kaden Handke, Owen Denton and Nora Denton, stepson, Kevin Berning, stepdaughter, Jamie Berning, brothers, Duane (Mary Cashin) Denton, Shayne (Laura) Denton, Iron Worker brothers and his special furry friend Fluffy Denton.
