Allan LeRoy Otte, Sr., of Atchison, KS died on Monday, October 7, 2024, at the Medicalodge, Atchison, KS.
Memorial services will be held at 11:30 pm on Sat. Oct. 12th, 2024, at Trinity Lutheran Church, with Rev. Marty Reed officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 11:30 am on Saturday, Oct 12th, at the Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial will be at a later date in the Sunset Memory Gardens, Atchison, KS. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Trinity Lutheran School Grant Fund and may be sent in care of the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home who is entrusted with handling the arrangements. Allan was born on May 30, 1937, in Atchison, KS the son of Walter and Lucille (Baumann) Otte. He graduated from Atchison High School in 1955. Allan had a dairy farm and then worked as a pattern maker for the Atchison Pattern Works. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church where he served as a former usher, elder, sang in the choir, and attended Pastor’s Bible Class. Allan also enjoyed bowling, raising and riding horses, playing softball, hunting, fishing.
He was married to Judith Gorrell in 1956, they were later divorced. He was married to Ruth Ann Puderbaugh on Aug. 15, 1974. She preceded him in death on Feb. 9, 2014. Survivors include three sons Colton Otte, Atchison, Kenneth (Jackie) Otte, Atchison, Eric (Shannon) Otte, Olathe, KS, a step son Steven Oswald, Atchison, KS, three daughters Deborah Hermann, Spokane, WA, Stephanie (Ron) Loeffler, Olathe, KS, Karen (Anthony) Reed, Grandview, MO, Step-daughters, Debbie (Wayne) Wilson, Atchison, Diane (Joe) Schletzbaum, Atchison, KS, Pam (Mark) Raiman, Topeka, KS, Melanie Gay Beideck, Topeka, KS, a sister Betty Jamison-Sowers, Atchison, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. His parents, daughters Pamela Oxley, and Jennifer Otte, and son Allan Otte, Jr, wife Judith Otte, wife, Ruth Ann Otte, a brother Bob Otte, and sister Sharon Ellis and granddaughter Judy Fuemmeler preceded him in death.
