Charles Alfred Edwardson Sr., 65, of Wichita, Kansas formerly of Jackson County, Kansas, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at his home.

He was born on December 26, 1958, in Horton, Kansas the son of Alvin and Maxine Edwardson. After high school Chuck moved to Wichita, Kansas and became a certified Arborist. In 1979 he started his own company Alfred's Superior Tree Service and owned and operated his business in Wichita, Kansas for forty-five years until his passing.

Chuck loved his job and couldn’t imagine doing anything else. He was the first TCIA Accredited Certified Arborist in Wichita and the second in Kansas. Chuck was a member of the Tree Care Industry Association, Kansas Arborist Association, International Society of Arboriculture and the Certified Tree Care Safety Professional Association.

In 1977 he married Vickie Bridges in Hoyt, Kansas they were later divorced, he then married Bonnie Velte in 1996 in Wichita, Kansas, they also were later divorced and then he married Tammie Kopetzky in 2012, and they were also later divorced.

Survivors include a son, Charles Alfred Edwardson Jr. of Wichita, Kansas; two daughters, Serena Hanson and Suni Lynn both of Wichita, Kansas; sister, Roberta Cavin of Hiawatha, Kansas; two brothers, Alan Edwardson of Arcadia, Florida and Anthony Edwardson of Atchison, Kansas and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, September 13, 2024, at the Zion Lutheran Church northeast of Everest, Kansas where the family will greet friends from 10:00 A.M. until service time.
