Karey Speers, 63, of Kansas City, MO, passed away January 28, 2023 at Kansas City. She was born December 11, 1959 at Falls City, NE to Jerry and Wanda (Casey) Crofford.

She married Keith Speers on September 28, 1991 at Falls City.

Karey was raised at Falls City and graduated Sacred Heart High School in 1978. Following graduation she worked for Weaver, Beeckman and Merz and then began a 36 year long career working the State of Nebraska as a secretary for the Probation Officer in Richardson County. She retired in 2019 and then moved to Kansas City where she worked as a nanny until 2001 when her health began to fail. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, PPCW, Home & School Boosters at Sacred Heart and Gama Theta Sorority. She also started the Kinderchurch program at her church.

Karey is survived by her husband, Keith of Kansas City, daughter, Gabrielle Speers of Kansas City, father, Jerry Crofford of Falls City, brothers, Robert and William Crofford of Falls City, numbers other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother.

Services are currently pending at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
