Jeanette (Mahlandt) Simpson, 89, of Troy, Kansas passed away Sunday, November 27, 2022, at Diversicare in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Jeanette was born on August 28, 1933, in Atlantic, Iowa to Harry and Eva (Dameron) Mahlandt.

She was a member of the Community of Christ Church, Fanning, Kansas.

Jeanette was an amazing lady that had so much love for her family and friends.

Jeanette married Ed Simpson on June 20, 1952. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, sons, Tom Bruns and Rick Simpson and 2 great grandsons.

Survivors: sons; Mike Simpson (Kim), Roger Simpson (Kristi), daughters; Kathy Smith (John Marvin Jr.), Patty Hewins (Glenn) and Wendy Beahler (Ed).

Brother, Harry “Buster” Mahlandt.

Daughter-in-law, Connie Bruns.

20 Grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one on the way.

Nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service: 10:30 A.M Friday, December 2, 2022.

At the Community of Christ Church, Fanning, Kansas.

Visitation: 6-8 Thursday evening at the Harman-Rohde Funeral Home in Troy, Kansas. Friends may call after 9 A.M. Thursday.

Burial: Mount Olive Cemetery, Troy, Kansas.

Memorials: Doniphan County Ambulance District #1.
