Aneita Jennie Figgs, 87, died Friday evening November 11, 2022 at Mission Village Living Center in Horton, Kansas.

Aneita had lived in Topeka, Kansas, residing in Horton the last 2 1/2 years to be closer to her daughter. She was born March 9, 1935 on the family farm, 6 miles South of Effingham, Kansas to Jennie Mae (Arthur) and Irwin O. Figgs. She was the seventh of eight children and had many loving memories of her childhood and working hard with her siblings. Aneita and Bill Sheeley were married December 20, 1952 and to this union two children were born. Sheila Heineken (Ron) of Everest, Kansas and Shane Sheeley (Sandie) of Sapulpa, Oklahoma. They were later divorced. Aneita was a Communications Operator for St. Francis Hospital for over 20 years and the Parkview Center of Stormont Vail Hospital, both of Topeka.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and 6 siblings, Orville, Tyrus, Mary, Jerry, Irwin, and Tom.

Aneita is survived by her children, Sheila and Shane, 2 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, her brother Larry of Beloit, Ohio, a dear Sister-in-law Leona Figgs at Sabetha, Kansas, 6 nephews and a niece, and several wonderful friends she had made over her lifetime.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M. on November 30, 2022 at the Valley Falls Cemetery, Valley Falls, Kansas. Family will visit with friends and family at that time. Memorials may be made to the Aneita Figgs memorial fund to be designated later and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
