Kenneth R. Arnold, 78, Falls City, NE, left his earthly body for the freedom of an eternity with his Lord, on August 8, 2022. He was born February 10, 1944 to Jacob B. and Edna (Herschberger) Arnold in Falls City.  He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Joyce, and nephew Bryan Arnold.

He graduated from Falls City High School in May of 1962. He did farm work and bulldozing for Edwin Nutzman. He graduated from Peru State College in May of 1968. On August 18, 1968 he married Rose (Vonderschmidt) Arnold at Zion United Church of Christ Northeast of Falls City. They were blessed with two children, David Arnold and his wife Tiffinie, of Minden, NE and Karen Boatright and her husband Timothy of Falls City.

In the fall of 1968 they moved to Ruskin, Nebraska where Ken took the position of Industrial Arts teacher for Ruskin Public Schools. In June of 1972 they returned to Falls City where he began a 50-year career as an Electrical Contractor. He thoroughly enjoyed helping all of his customers with their electrical needs.

He was a member of the Falls City Rural Fire District for almost 50 years and was Fire Chief for many of those years.

He was an active member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church northeast of Falls City and was Sunday School Superintendent when his children were young and also served on the church council in various capacities.  He received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.  Jesus forgave him of his sins and promised eternal life in heaven.  One day, all who follow Jesus will be reunited together.

Along with his wife and children he is survived by five grandchildren, Abigail Boatright and Ethan Boatright of Falls City; Bailey Arnold, Cassandra Arnold, and Olivia Arnold of Minden, NE. He is also survived by a brother Keith Arnold and his wife Sarah of Maryville, MO, and many other relatives.

His memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Good News Assembly of God, 601 Reavis, Falls City with the pastors Mike Hader and Timothy Boatright. Inurnment will be at Steele Cemetery, Falls City.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Falls City Rural Fire Department.
