Lillis " Bill" Dalinghaus

Lillis L. “Bill” Dalinghaus, 83, of Seneca, died on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at the Life Care Center of Seneca.

Bill was born on July 17, 1938, in Axtell, Kansas, to Lawrence A. And Margaret M. Sudbeck Dalinghaus. He attended Sacred Heart Grade School and graduated from Baileyville High in 1956.

Bill helped his father farm, until he got married, at which time he branched out on his own raising hogs and dairy cattle; he also ran the road grater for the Center Township for several years. In 1986, Bill retired from farming and he moved to Seneca. He was employed by Walmart in Marysville as maintenance and security staff, retiring after 20 years.

On September 16, 1961 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bill married Roberta “Bobbi” Mclanchlan of Salisbury, Missouri.

Bill loved and enjoyed his children and grandchildren, he loved to dance, watch basketball games and visit at McDonalds while drinking his many cups of coffee.
Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Winkler and brothers, Leroy Dalinghaus and Donald Dalinghaus.

Bill is survived by his wife of 60 years, Bobbi, his children, Deborah (Larry) Hiesa of Liberty, Daniel (Janice) Dalinghaus of Sabetha, Douglas (Tiffany) Dalinghaus of Seneca, Diane Dalinghaus of Overland Park, Kansas and Daryl Dalinghaus of Overland Park, Kansas; and 10 grandchildren.  

A rosary will be prayed at 7 PM on Sunday, May 8, 2022 at Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM on Monday, May 9, 2022 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Seneca. The burial will be in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Baileyville.

Memorials can be given in Bill’s memory to Sacred Heart Cemetery in Baileyville, and sent in care of the family.
