Wilma Cumro

Wilma Jeanette Cumro, 95, of Summerfield passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2022 in Marysville, Kansas. She was born in Burchard, Nebraska on February 10, 1927 to Lawrence and Anna (Ullman) Fisher.  Wilma went to District 12 Cold Point School, west of Pawnee City, Nebraska.

She was married to Dr. Dennis E. Cumro on October 24, 1959 in Steinauer, Nebraska. To this union four children were born.

Wilma was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Summerfield, Kansas.

Wilma enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking and gardening, especially  her beautiful flowers. Wilma sewed many of her children clothes and happily quilted away when her fingers allowed her to do so. She also enjoyed bird watching and talking to her family on the phone.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dennis, son, Gary Cumro, brothers, Virgil, Bob, Kenny and Marion, sisters  Gerry Kohel, Mary Wichman, and Doris Fiegener.

She is survived by her son Dennis L. Cumro, daughters Janelle (Michael) Wolt and Debra Cumro, daughter in-law Sharon Cumro,  granddaughters, Leana (Jordan) Pullen and Carolyn (Adam) Gehringer and great-granddaughters Margaret and Catherine Gehringer,  brother-in-law, Maurice Cumro, sisters-in-law, Lucille Fisher, Judy Fisher, Nancy Fisher and Sandy Cumro.

Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Summerfield, Kansas.  Officiating Father James Shaughnessy.  No visitation. Rosary at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Memorials to Holy Family Catholic Church or Holy Family Cemetery.
