Robert "Bob" Eugene Munson, of Cozad formerly of Humboldt, Nebraska, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at the Bryan LGH Medical Center East in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 80.  Bob was born on August 11, 1940, in Humboldt, Nebraska to Robert Frank and Goldie Mae (Birch) Munson.  He was raised in Humboldt where he received his schooling and graduated from Humboldt High School with the class of 1958.  On August 12, 1961, Bob was united in marriage to Juletta Mae Warner by Rev. Ward Merritt in Humboldt, Nebraska.  To this union four children, Frank, Barbara, Peggy and Steven were born.  Bob began his career with the O.A. Cooper Company in 1958 and was later transferred to Cozad, Nebraska to be the superintendent at the Feed Mill.  He retired from ADM in 2005 after 47 years of dedicated service to the company.  Bob was an avid fisherman and loved reading history books.  His grandkids always made sure he had plenty of history books.  He also enjoyed crossword puzzles and watching football, especially the Huskers and the Broncos.

Bob is survived by his loving wife Mae Munson of Cozad, NE; daughters, Barbara Gascho and husband Earl of Palmer, TX; Peggy Munson of Cozad, NE; son Steve Munson of Sioux Falls, SD; a sister Marie Rokey of Kansas and brother-in-law, Ron Warner of South Dakota, grandchildren, Amy (Jeremy) Fedderson of Cozad, Heather Gascho of Texas, Taylor (Sophia) Fletcher of Hastings, Dylan (Sarah) Munson of Lincoln, great-granddaughter, Zoey Feddersen of Cozad, step-grandchildren, Michael (Janice) McGinnis, Nathaniel McGinnis, step-great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Jazlyn, Kira and Braxton of South Dakota and many nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Frank Allen Munson, a sister Darlene Mattan, a brother Don Munson, grandson Chance Gascho, daughter-in-law  Kelly Munson, brother-in-law Gary Warner, sister-in-law Lois Munson and step-grandson Anthony McGinnis. 

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 27, 2021, at the Wherry Mortuary, 207 N. Nemaha Street in Humboldt, Nebraska with Pastor Howard Blecha officiating.  Masks are suggested for all in attendance.  

A register book will be available from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Friday, March 26, 2021, at the Wherry Mortuary in Humboldt.

Inurnment will follow services at the Humboldt Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to the family with a later designation.
