Ruth Anne Irick, 94, of Holton, KS, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Medicalodge Jackson County. She was born October 9, 1926 in Holton, KS, the daughter of Thomas Logan and Ruth Elizabeth (Arnold) Hill.

Ruth Anne graduated from Holton High School in 1944. She lived in the Holton community most of her life; except 3 years in Valley Falls. Ruth Anne was a homemaker, worked part-time as a sales clerk for Ben Franklin and Koger Variety Store and also worked for Mercer Funeral Home in Holton.

She was a member of Circleville Christian Church and graduated from Menniger Bible Class in 1988.

Ruth Anne married Howard E. Irick on May 1, 1946 in Holton, KS. He preceded her in death on May 24, 2015 after over 69 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by a brother, William F. Hill.

Survivors include her daughter, Lynnette K. Bruns (Ed) of Holton, KS; her son, Dennis L. Irick (Cindy) of Missouri City, TX; 3 grandchildren, Renee Drossel (Jason), Daniel Irick (Kelly) and David Irick (Vanessa) and 3 great-grandchildren, Olivia Drossel, Gavin Irick and Logan Irick.

Ruth Anne will lie in state beginning Friday afternoon, March 19, 2021 through Saturday, March 20 until 6:00 p.m. at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Private family Graveside Service will be Sunday at Holton Cemetery.
