Courtney Lynn Place, 39, of Netawaka, KS, passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2021; the result of an electrical accident. She was born March 22, 1981 in Holton, KS, the daughter of Glenn Stephen “Tiny” Place and Pamela Jane (Martin) Ward.

Courtney attended Royal Valley High School. She was a homemaker and a self-employed housekeeper. She was a member of Citizen Band Potawatomi Nation of Oklahoma.

 Survivors include her husband, Travis J. Mullins of the home; her 3 children, Justin, Alyssa and Abigail Mullins all of the home; her mother, Pam Ward of Independence, MO; 3 sisters, Kim Barber (Tony) of Delia, KS, Denise Marshall (Ralph) of Whiting, KS and Brandi Place of Independence, MO and 2 brothers, Brent Place of Kirksville, MO, Eric “Doug” Place of Holton, KS; many nieces & nephews and great-nieces & great-nephews.

Courtney will lie in state Monday afternoon, March 15, 2021 and Tuesday, March 16, 2021 until 6:00 p.m. at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will be 11:45 a.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Netawaka Cemetery. Private Family Funeral will be at Mercer Funeral Home.
