Jane M. Stahl. 61, of Morrill, KS, passed away peacefully at Maple Heights Nursing Home on March 5, 2021, surrounded by her family.

Jane was born in Hiawatha, KS January 19th, 1960, the youngest of four children born to the late Roy and Betty Arnold Spicer and was a Brown County resident all of her life, where she attended Hiawatha schools, graduating from Hiawatha High School with the class of 1978.

She worked as a Certified Nurse’s Aide and Physical Therapy Assistant for many years.  Jane loved spending time watching her children at sporting events and then at home with her dog COCOA.  She touched many lives through the years with her loving compassionate heart. She will get to join the one she missed with open arms.

She married David Stahl January 18th, 1978, in Fairview.  They had 43 wonderful years together, her children:  Eric Stahl (Kayla) of Sabetha, Jennifer Hanes (Seth) of Topeka, Jill Severin (Stephen) of Sabetha, Jodi Folk (Dylan) of Whiting; 9 grandchildren:  Katie, Brenden, Bayleigh, Tucker, Brody, Easton, Brylee, Ellie and Tylee.  Also surviving are brothers Bob and Jim Spicer, sister Linda Curlis, all of Hiawatha.

Jane loved her lab COCOA. She loved to take care of the elderly and won caregiver of the year at the Sabetha Manor.  She loved her iris bed, cooking for every occasion and always loved hosting family gatherings with her children and grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a grandson Bowen Neal Stahl.

A celebration of Jane’s life is planned for 10:30 Wednesday morning, March 10, at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, Hiawatha.  Pastor Rich Lehmkuhl will officiate.  Interment will follow at Cornelison Cemetery, Reserve.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m. Tuesday where the family will be present from 3 until 6 that evening.  MASKS ARE REQUIRED AND SOCIAL DISTANCING MUST BE OBSERVED.
