Phyllis Marie Stephenson, 87, of Muscotah, Kansas, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2020 at the Atchison Senior Village in Atchison, Kansas.

She was born on September 5, 1933 in Odel, Nebraska the daughter of Clifford and Rhea Moon Wolfe. Phyllis was a house keeper, babysitter and was very good at wall papering. She loved playing the guitar and singing at the Rodeo’s, in country bands and community events. She also enjoyed going to the casino and spending time with her family. On July 16, 1957 she married Darrell “Rat” Stephenson in Hiawatha, Kansas. He preceded her in death on October 22, 2007.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandi (Rick) Brown of Cummings, Kansas; son, Ron (Jayne) Stephenson of Rushville, Missouri; two brothers, Robert Wolfe of Holden, Missouri and Steven Wolfe of Independence, Missouri; two sisters, Barbara (Jim) Larson of Hiawatha, Kansas and Doris Christensen of Topeka, Kansas; four grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Eddie, David and Dale Wolfe.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton, Kansas where the family will greet friends from 10:00 A.M. until service time. Burial to follow at the Muscotah Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Muscotah United Church and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
