Terry Charles Marsh, 82, of Ozawkie, KS, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at his home. He was born May 22, 1938 in Valley Falls, KS, the son of William Raymond and Mary Elizabeth (Simons) Marsh.

Terry graduated from Valley Falls High School in 1956. He proudly served in the United States Air Force beginning in 1956 and retiring after 20 years in 1977 as Tech Sargent during the Vietnam Era. He worked for the Middletown, IN Police Department for 19 years, retiring as Captain.

He was a member of I.L.E.A (Indiana Law Enforcement Assoc.), I.A.C.P (Indiana Assoc. of Chiefs of Police), N.A.C.P (National Assoc. of Chiefs of Police), A.F.N.C.O.A.(Airforce N. Co. Assoc.), N.M.L.R.A. (National Muzzle Loading Rifle Assoc.). Terry was Patron Member and Firearms Instructor Asst. for N.R.A. and former member of American Legion Post 225 in Ozawkie.

Terry married Norma Louise Geyer on October 1, 1960 in Indianapolis; IN, she preceded him in death on May 26, 2017, after over 56 years of marriage. He was also preceded in death by a twin brother, Jerry William Marsh and a sister, Mary Francis Walters in April 12, 2020.

Survivors include 2 sons, Jerry Wade Marsh of Cedar Creek, TX and William A. Marsh of Ozawkie, KS; a daughter, Terri L. Smith (Gordon) of Cicero, IN; 2 sisters, Wilma Nell Schneider of Shawnee, KS and Kathy Irene Langhus of Smithville, MO and 2 grandsons, Cooper and Jack Smith.

A visitation will be 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls. Graveside Services with Military Honors will follow the Visitation at Valley Falls Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the American Legion Post 225 c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O.
