Gene Edward (Eddie) Groshong, 57, of Horton, Kansas, was taken to his heavenly home at sunrise on Friday, June 26, 2020 at his mother, Nancy Groshong’s home.

Eddie was born on September 21, 1962 in St. Joseph, Missouri the son of Max and Nancy Polson Groshong. Eddie attended and graduated from Kansas School for the Deaf.

After graduation, Eddie worked side by side with his dad, Max Groshong with running the Olathe Tow Service, specializing with semi- truck towing. They were always together working on cars, painting vehicles, running Groshong Steakhouse, even raising stock cows. Eddie loved the tractor and working outside.

Eddie was married to Brenda and two sons were born from this marriage,Josh Groshong and Danny Groshong. After the marriage dissolved, Eddie moved back to Horton to raise his sons.

Eddie is survived by his mother, Nancy Groshong of Horton, Kansas; son, Danny Groshong of Ellsworth, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his father, Max Groshong, son, Josh Groshong, sister, Tracy Bartley and a brother, Robert Dale Groshong.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at the Muscotah Cemetery.
