Melissa Fritz Stevenson, 50, of Norfolk, NE, passed away June 4, 2020 at Norfolk. The daughter of Louis and Judy (Lanning) Fritz was born November 23, 1969 at Blair, NE.

She married Lonnie Bahr on November 21, 1987 at Falls City. They divorced in 2001. She married Mark Stevenson on February 14, 2003 at Nemaha, NE and they were later divorced.

Melissa was raised at Verdon and graduated from Dawson Verdon High School in 1988. She worked at Woodings, Ideal Cleaners and Cooper Nuclear Station. She then worked various jobs and moved to Norfolk in 2016, working at Hyvee, and has lived there since. She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church north of Falls City.

Melissa is survived by her children, Cody Bahr of Verdon, Jordan Schwartzer and her husband Taylor of Gretna, parents, Louis and Judy Fritz of Verdon, brothers, Darin Fritz and his wife Kerry of Verdon, Jason Fritz of Verdon, sister, Mara Dungan and her husband Craig of Falls City and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Edward and her grandparents.

A family funeral will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 10:30 AM at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church north of Falls City with Reverend Daniel Gifford officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

The service will be broadcast on the radio and friends may join the family at the committal service, please observe social distancing rules.

Open visitation will begin late Friday afternoon until 8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
