Debra K. “Debbie” Clark, 65, of Holton, died Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at her home near Holton.

She was born September 27, 1954 at Horton, the daughter of Richard and Darlene Christie Bruns.  She graduated from Holton High School in 1973 and from Kaw Area Technical School in Topeka.

Debbie was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Holton and a former member and President of the Pilot Club of Holton.  She was also a 4-H Leader and the Japanese Exchange Coordinator for 4-H.

She was a medical transcriptionist for Holton Community Hospital and other medical groups.  She also was the Holton Schools Band Aide for many years, was secretary at the First United Methodist Church, worked at Kanza Mental Health Center, Kansas Sports Medicine and at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home.

She married Michael Humphries in 1973.  He preceded her in death in 1978.  She married Gene Clark on September 14, 1979 in Holton.  He survives, of the home.

Debbie was also preceded in death by her father, Richard Bruns.

Other survivors include a son, Matthew Clark, Manhattan; three daughters, Christi Schumaker (Samuel), Whiting, Kimberly Clark, Holton, and Elizabeth Dove (David), Branson, MO; a sister, Cindy Butler (Tim), Huntersville, NC; and eight grandchildren, Madison, Addy, Comyn and Kara Schumaker, Monte and Brock Mitchell, and Breckin and Aubrey Dove.

Celebration of Life Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 28th at the First United Methodist Church.  A visitation will be held from 9:30 until service time.  A register book will be available to sign at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home.  Memorials are suggested to the Debra Clark Memorial Fund, to be designated later, and may be sent in care of the funeral home, PO Box 1034, Holton  66436.  On-line condolences may be made at chapeloaksfuneralhome.com
