Carrol Eugene Snyder of Sabetha, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2019. He was born August 22, 1933 in Morrill, KS to Floyd and Mildred Snyder. They preceded him in death along with his sister, Roberta Shields and a brother, Gail Snyder.

Carrol graduated from Morrill High School and attended McPherson College. He returned to Sabetha and married Elba Robinson in 1953. They enjoyed 66 years of marriage and living on the farm. He also worked at Wenger Manufacturing and Extru-Tech as a machinist for 27 years. Carrol loved farming, his cattle, piddling in his workshop, spending time with his family and eating homemade ice cream. He was an avid sports fan especially when his kids or grandchildren were playing. Carrol had a beautiful voice and sang at many weddings and funerals over the years.

He was a much loved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be missed by all. He is survived by his wife, along with his children Greg (Kara) Snyder of Stilwell, KS; Brad (Holly) Snyder and Kurt (Jayne) Snyder of Morrill; and Jeana (Scott) Heidtbrink of Smithville, MO; grandchildren, Quinton (Heather) Snyder and Kenton (Heidi) Snyder of Quincy, IL, Trent (Cristina) Snyder of Madison, WI, Shayna (Kevin) Heideman of Corning, KS, Travis (Laura) Snyder and Trae Snyder of Manhattan, KS, Jarod (Ashley) Snyder of Seneca, KS, Logan (Sarah) Snyder of Morrill, KS, Jesse (Megan) Snyder of Osage, IA, Shannon (Craig) LaRosh of Smithville, MO, Daniel (Katie) Heidtbrink of Westin, MO, Taylor Heidtbrink of Warrensburg, MO, and 21 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, Dale Snyder of Sabetha.

He was a member of the First Congregational Church and later the NorthRidge Church in Sabetha.

A Memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at 10:30 at the NorthRidge Church in Sabetha. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
