Nancy Elizabeth Thomas

Nancy Elizabeth Thomas, 70, of Horton, Kansas, passed away on February 21, 2019 at the Holton Community Hospital in Holton, Kansas.

She was born on May 27, 1948 in Horton, Kansas, the daughter of Leonard "Mac" and Georgia Cashman McAfee.

Nancy worked as a bookkeeper for J.C. Hensley Construction prior to going to work as a waitress for the Golden Eagle Casino and Grandma's Depot.

In October of 1965 she married Narcissus "Coke" Thomas in Miami, Oklahoma.

She was a member of the St. Leo's Catholic Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Sonya Thomas Banks of Horton, Kansas; two sons, Carl Thomas of Horton, Kansas and Josh Thomas of Leadville, Colorado; companion, Mike Gaskell of Horton, Kansas; three brothers, George "Pat" McAfee, Dean McAfee, and Mark McAfee all of Horton, Kansas; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two brothers, Carl McAfee and Mike McAfee.

The family will greet friends from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Monday, February 25, 2019 at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton, Kansas and then go in procession to the Horton Cemetery for a graveside service. There will be a gathering at the Horton Community Building following the burial.
