Mona M. Davidson, 84, of Hiawatha, died Sunday, December 16, 2018, at her home.

Mona was born March 20, 1934, at Dante, South Dakota, one of fourteen children born to Harvey ad Hazel Hallman Myers.  She moved with her family to the Gower, MO community where she grew up and attended school.  The family later moved to Dearborn, MO where she graduated from high school with the class of 1952.

Mona was an active bowler in a league for many years at Maple Lanes in Hiawatha.  To say she enjoyed her bingo was an understatement!  Mona enjoyed spending time with her family and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.  

She married Richard Davidson Sr. April 17, 1955, at Camden Point Baptist Church in Platte County, MO.  He survives of the home.  They lived in the Kansas City area for a few years before moving to Hiawatha in 1969.  She began working for Abitibi Price wood shutter plant in Hiawatha for nearly 26 years before retiring.  

Also surviving are three sons:  Richard Jr. (Amanda) of Hiawatha, Robert (Nancy) of Mayetta, Sean of Hiawatha; a daughter Michelle Martindale (Roger) of Everest; four brothers:  Harvey Myers, Jr. of Oklahoma City, OK, Robert Myers (Delaine) of Tina, MO,  Mike Myers (Vicki) of St. Joseph, MO, Larry Myers, also of St. Joseph; three sisters:  Ellen Creager, also of Tina, Betty Tebow of St. Joseph, Bonnie Chavez, also of St. Joseph;  9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

Mona was preceded in death by her parents; brothers:  Charles, Sheldon, Roger, Billy; sisters Ruth Myers and Sharon Melton.

A visitation/family reunion will be held in the spring of 2019 to celebrate and remember Mona’s life.
