Elijah Ray Junior Edmonds, 81, of Schuyler, Nebraska was born on November 15, 1936, in Peru, Nebraska to Elijah Buel and Lula Loretta (Seivers) Edmonds.  He was raised in the Auburn area and attended Brock High School.  On November 30, 1954, Elijah enter active duty in the U.S. Army and served his country during the Korean Conflict.  He was honorably discharged on November 29, 1957 at Fort Lewis, Washington.  In 1961, Elijah was united in marriage to Patricia Moore in Sidney, Iowa.  The couple began their marriage living in Hamburg, Iowa before moving to Rock Port, Missouri.  They then moved to Brownville and in 1984 moved to Schuyler, Nebraska where they have resided since.  Elijah worked throughout his adult life as a concrete finisher for a concrete company in Omaha. He enjoyed fishing, collecting, and tinkering around the home.

Elijah passed away on Friday, August 10, 2018, at his home in Schuyler, Nebraska having reached the age of eighty-one years, eight months, and twenty-six days.  He was preceded in death by his parents; son Chris Edmonds, a brother Dean Edmonds, a sister Mildred, and brother-in-law Tom Toth.

Elijah is survived by his wife Patricia Edmonds of Schuyler, NE; daughter Kim Bren of Brigham City, UT; son Jerry Shipley and wife Kris of Riverton, IA; 2 grandsons; 3 granddaughters; 6 great-grandchildren; brothers: Roy Edmonds and wife Rose of Plattsmouth, NE; a sister Betty Toth of Arizona; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at The Hall Funeral Chapel in Auburn, Nebraska with Pastor Sandro Sandoval officiating.  Interment will immediately follow services at the Nemaha Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Nebraska Army Honor Guard.

A register book will be available to sign prior to services from 9 a.m.- 1 p.m. on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at The Hall Funeral Chapel in Auburn.
