Saundra Klepper

Saundra "Sandy" Lea (Covault) Klepper, 74, of Osceola, Nebraska, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2017. 

She was born on May 23, 1943, in Burbank, California, to Delmar and Jeannette (Howarth) Covault.   Delmar served in the Army in Burbank, and in 1944 left for WWII.  After the war ended in 1946, the family moved to the Dairy farm north of Pawnee City.   She attended country school until 3rd grade, and then attended and graduated from Table Rock in 1961. 

After graduation, Sandy briefly attended Nursing School in Lincoln and moved back to Pawnee City to work for Dr. Stewart, Dr. Anderson, and Dr. Jackson for 10 years.  During this time, she married her husband, Richard, of 54 years in 1963 at Dubois Bible Church.  Richard worked for NPPD, and his job transferred them to Sterling, and then on to Osceola.

Sandy worked for the University of Nebraska-Extension office in Osceola for 17 years and helped with 4-H clubs, and county fair.  She was a member of Indian Hills Community Church in Lincoln, Nebraska.  She loved to read, sew, travel, and drag race.    

Sandy is survived by her husband Richard Klepper of Osceola, Nebraska; daughter Kelly Anderson of Osceola, Nebraska; son Rich and Cindy Klepper of Castle Rock, Colorado; daughter Lisa and Michael Cooper of Lincoln, Nebraska; 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and brother Rod and Deanna Covault of Lincoln, Nebraska and sister-in-law Pam Covault of Garnett, Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents Delmar and Jeannette Covault, and brother Jon Marc Covault.  Sandy praises her wonderful Savior for a positive outlook in her life.  

Funeral services are 10:00 am, Monday July 24, 2017 at Faith Baptist Church, Pawnee City, Nebraska.  Officiating Pastor Chris Rohrbaugh.  Visitation on Sunday, July 23, 2017 from 12:00 pm-8:00 pm with family greeting friends from 6:00-8:00 pm at Wherry Mortuary, 919 G Street, Pawnee City, Nebraska.  Interment at the Pawnee City Cemetery.  Memorials to family choice or Operation Smile, 3641 Faculty Blvd, Virginia Beach, VA  23453
