DENTON, KANSAS - Betty L.(Adkins) Myers, 92, of Denton, Kansas died Monday, April 24, 2017 at an assisted living home in Hiawatha, Kansas. 

Betty was born on March 5, 1925 in Table Rock, Nebraska to Samuel (Frank) and Maude (Randall) Adkins. She lived most of her life in the Leona and the Denton area. Betty was a homemaker. Betty loved gardening, planting flowers, horses, making quilts and embroidering tea towels. 

Betty is a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bendena, Kansas and W.E.L.C.A. of the church, a Saddle Club and Bendena Homemakers Club. 

She married Bill Myers on December 23, 1969 in Bendena, Kansas. He preceded her in death on June 23, 1996. Betty was also preceded by her siblings, an infant, Sam Adkins, Erma Pohl, Melvin Adkins, Jack Adkins, Dickie Adkins and Alfred Adkins. 

Survivors include daughter, Sylvia Thompson (Leonard); 
Sons,  Gerald Myers, Wayne Myers and Lewis Myers (Pat); 
10 Grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; 
Siblings, Gertrude Hamilton, John Adkins(Eva),(Mildred) Adkins, Art Adkins (Rosalee), Delbert Adkins(Sharon), Cleo Stewart, Joyce Moppin(Kenny), Danny Adkins(Terry); 
Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Funeral: Thursday, April 27, 2017 – 10:30 A.M. 
At: St. John’s Lutheran Church – Bendena, Kansas. 
Burial: Denton Cemetery – Denton, Kansas 
Visitation - family will receive friends Wednesday evening 6-8 pm at the Harman Rohde Funeral Home in Troy, Kansas. 
Memorials: St. John’s Lutheran Church, Highland Ambulance or Northeast Kansas Hospice.
