Debra J. Grand Pre, 62, Atchison, Kansas died unexpectedly Thursday, February 4, 2016 at her home.

Mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Church with Abbot Barnabas Senecal, OSB as celebrant.  Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.  A parish rosary will be recited on Monday, February 8, 2016 at 6:00 P.M. at Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with visitation to follow until 7:30 at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Benedict Parish and may be left in care of the funeral home. Debra was born July 23, 1953 in Atchison, Kansas the daughter of Harland and Edna Grieveldinger Grand Pre.  She attended Sacred Heart Catholic Elementary School, graduating from Mount St. Scholastica Academy.  She attended and graduated from Northeast Kansas Vocational Technical School as a Licensed Practical Nurse.  Following her education she became employed as an LPN with the Atchison Hospital for many years.

She was a member of St. Benedict Parish.  In her spare time she enjoyed reading, crocheting and fishing.

Survivors include a brother, Arland (Sandra) Grand Pre, Cummings, KS, two sisters, Jane (Marvin) Seager, Atchison, KS, Marilyn Grand Pre, Atchison, KS, numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a nephew, Marty Seager.
