Irene K. Lehman, 92, of Sabetha, passed away Sunday morning, July 5, 2015, at the Apostolic Christian Home.

She was born November 21, 1922, at Oneida, Kansas, one of nine children of Chris and Katherine Hartter Grimm.  She married Andy Lehman on October 3, 1943, at Seneca.  He preceded her in death on November 22, 2004.  She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Andy John Aberle, a granddaughter, Luann Aberle Strahm, five brothers, and three sisters.

Surviving are two daughters:  Charlotte (Fred) Aberle of Sabetha, Kansas, Linda (Steve) Roeschley of Morton, Illinois; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Irene worked at the Sabetha Fashion Center for many years and later owned the Buzz Café in Sabetha with her daughter Charlotte from 1978 through 1986.

She and Andy moved into the Apostolic Christian West Village in 1990 where they enjoyed their retirement.  She was an active member of the Sabetha Apostolic Christian Church for many years.

Funeral services are planned for 11 a.m. Thursday, July 9, at the Apostolic Christian Church in Sabetha.  Burial will follow at Sabetha Cemetery.

Friends may call at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hiawatha after 10 a.m. until 7 Wednesday evening.  The visitation will be from 9 until 10:30 Thursday morning at Church.
