DEVIN ROSS SCHLEGEL

ONAGA – Devin Ross Schlegel, 20, of Onaga, died Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City.

He was born August 16, 1994 at Onaga, the son of Jim and Marla Robbins Schlegel.  He graduated from Onaga High School in 2013 and from Manhattan Area Technical School‘s HVAC program in 2014.  He worked for Central Mechanical Construction in Manhattan.

Devin was a member of the First Congregational Church, UCC in Onaga and Local Laborers No. 1290 at St. Marys.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Dean Robbins and M.B. Schlegel.

Survivors include his parents, Jim & Marla Schlegel, Onaga; grandmothers, Marilyn Robbins, Havensville and Lorraine Schlegel, Onaga; a brother, Ben Schlegel, wife Alex and their son, Kellan Ross Schlegel, Onaga; a sister, Leah Zwonitzer and Brandi Washington, Davenport, IA; and his girlfriend, Morgan Tiers, Fostoria.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 28^th at the Onaga Community Center.  Burial will follow in the Wheaton Congregational Cemetery.  Devin will lie in state Monday at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Onaga where family and friends will meet from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.  Memorials are suggested to the Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital, Lincoln, NE or the Wheaton Congregational Cemetery, and may be sent in care of the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, P.O.
