The Falls City, City Council will discuss on first reading an ordinance on regulating fires in the city limits during their meeting tonight at City Hall. The amendment to the ordinance was proposed by Councilman Hal Sutter and if approved will mean trash can only be burned on Wednesday’s between the hours of 10 a-m and 2 p-m and only if someone at least 16 years of age is monitoring the fire.
Three resolutions for setting public hearings March 19th for levying special assessments against property will be discussed.
Council members will also discuss the proposed purchase of a pickup from Armbruster Motor Company for the Falls City Police Department.
A request to rent Prichard Auditorium and allow the sale of alcohol for a wedding reception will be discussed.
The meeting begins at 7 p-m at City Hall.
