The Prairie Hills USD 113 Board of Education has completed their search for a new superintendent.
During a special meeting this ( Wednesday ) afternoon, the board voted unanimously to ratify a contract with Dr. William Orth, who has served as superintendent of schools at Osage City for the past three years.
Orth will begin work July 1st at an annual salary of $100,000 plus benefits. He was offered a two-year contract.
He was among four candidates interviewed by the board last week.
Prior to becoming superintendent at Osage City, Orth was superintendent for four years at Altoona-Midway school and for two years at Baileyville.
Orth will replace Dennis stones who is retiring at the end of the current school year.
