A February 8th preliminary hearing is set for two Sabetha teenagers charged in connection with an altercation in December that sent a Sabetha resident to the hospital.
18-year-old Gunner Werner is charged in Nemaha County District Court with four felonies—including aggravated robbery, aggravated battery, aggravated burglary and aggravated intimidation of a witness.
18-year-old Dalton Fletcher is charged with felony counts of aggravated robbery, aggravated battery and aggravated burglary along with a misdemeanor count of theft.
Ryan Lemons was transported to the Sabetha Community Hospital on December 9th with injuries to his face and head area after police responded to his house.
Police Chief Robert Wahwasuck says it was reported that several individuals had entered Lemon’s home without consent with the expressed interest to do physical harm to him.
The suspect’s allegedly stole Lemon’s cell phone at the time of the incident, inhibiting his ability to contact help.
Werner and Fletcher both remain in the Nemaha County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bond each.
