Doniphan West @ Bern
In a Delaware Valley League versus Twin Valley League matchup, it was the Doniphan West Mustangs getting the best of the Bern Indians on the road, notching the 63-13 victory. The Mustangs jumped out to a quick 19-2 lead at the end of the first quarter and never looked back from there.

With the win Doniphan West improved to 8-4 on the season; while Bern fell to 1-10 on the year.
Boy’s Varsity: Marc Ellis (Doniphan West) 23 points
It was a late rally by the Bern Indians at home that just fell short, to give the Doniphan West Mustangs a 67-62 victory last night on the road. It was only a three point game after the first quarter and then the basket opened for Doniphan West as they dropped 25 points in the second quarter to take a 13 point lead going into the half. The lead was brought all the way down to two points at one point in the fourth quarter, but Bern found themselves down by three with the ball and 9.7 seconds left to go in the game. That’s when the Indians were whistled for the offensive foul and the Mustangs hit some free throws to seal the deal.
Doniphan West had two players score in double figures with senior guard/forward, Marc Ellis leading the way tallying 23 points on the evening, including hitting on five three-point baskets. Mustangs finished the night with nine players netting a basket in the contest, with freshman, Tristan Speer the only other player to hit double figures with 10 points. For the Bern Indians they had three players hit the double digit mark, but fell a little short as a team to notch the victory. The Mustangs of Doniphan West increase their win streak to two games with the win and improve to 5-8 on the season. Bern fell to 7-5 season and have lost their last four contests.
