This week, President Donald Trump held a bill signing ceremony for the Supporting Veterans in STEM Careers Act. During his remarks, President Trump recognized U.S. Senator Jerry Moran’s (R-Kan.) work on behalf of veterans and thanked him for his continued support. Following the president’s remarks, Sen. Moran spoke about the legislation being signed into law.
“As our committee focuses on mental health and suicide, one of the best things that can happen to someone who is in the community, somebody who has returned home from battle, is to be a part of that community,” said Sen. Moran, chairman of the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee. “And earning a living and the self-esteem and the joy that comes from having a job helps us in all our battles in trying to make sure that every veteran, every place in the country has a bright future, that they’re living the American Dream.”
