Courthouse and Jail Dominate Commissioners Meeting
10/29/2016

(KLZA)-- Richardson County Commissioners discussed  a number of issues concerning the Richardson County Courthouse and the Jail / Law Enforcement Center when they met Tuesday.

Problems discovered on the roof of the Richardson County Courthouse were discussed with architect Dennis Lyon.

A roof inspection is to be done by a representative of Weathercraft of Lincoln. He will provide an estimate of the costs to correct the problems. Board members are anticipating it to be around $6-thousand.

Commissioners reviewed with Sheriff Don Pounds the job description for the maintenance technician position at the Jail / Law Enforcement Center and the Courthouse building and grounds.  The salary was discussed as well.  Commissioners anticipate taking action next week to approve the job description and the salary for the job.

The certificate of substantial completion of the law enforcement center,  presented by the contractor and the architect was reviewed by the Board. Sheriff Pounds and the Maintenance Technician will review the document and review further with the Board next week.
