(KNZA)--Guilty.
That was the verdict returned Wednesday by a Buchanan County jury against a 56-year-old St. Joseph man charged in the death of his wife last year.
The St. Joseph News Press reports the jury convicted Martin Davis on a felony charge of 1st-degree domestic assault after two hours of deliberation. The trial began Monday.
Prosecutors said Davis caused the death of his wife, Sandra, as a result of a beating on April 30th of last year.
Sentencing was set for November 10th.
Davis remains in the Buchanan County Jail, held without bond.
