(KNZA)--A St. Joseph man is accused of setting several vehicles on fire.
The St. Joseph News Press reports 49-year-old Michael Simpson has been charged in Buchanan County with two felony counts of knowingly burning or exploding.
Police say Simpson allegedly broke into two vehicles parked at the St. Joseph Frontier Casino last weekend, stole some items and then set a nearby car on fire.
He’s also accused of setting two vehicles on fire on Waterworks Road.
Simpson is scheduled to appear in a Buchanan County courtroom Friday for arraignment.
He remains in the Buchanan County Jail, held on a $50,000 cash-only bond.
