Falls City Economic Development and Growth Enterprise Executive Director Beckie Cromer presented the organizations third quarter report to the City Council Monday night.
Cromer said that after a yearlong site selection process, it appears Southeast Community College will build a new facility to house their learning center in Falls City. An architectural firm has been hired by the college to look at building a 10-thousand square foot building in Falls City.
Cromer said SCC has said the Falls City Learning Center is not contingent on passage of a proposed $369-million bond issue the college has on the ballot in November.
Southeast Community College recently announced the hiring of Holly Carr as the Falls City Learning Center Coordinator. Carr lives in Johnson.
Her office is currently in the Blue Valley/ Home Health Building at 19th and Chase Streets in Fall City.
