(KMZA)--A tractor roll-over accident has claimed the life of a southeast Nebraska man.
The Gage County Sheriff’s Department says killed in the accident Thursday evening about seven miles east-northeast of Beatrice was 54-year-old Ernest Kubr of Filley.
The Sheriff’s Office says the preliminary investigation indicates Kubr was operating a tractor moving a dirt pile when for unknown reasons he lost control of the tractor causing it to roll down a hill on a top of him.
Kubr was pronounced dead at the scene after life saving measures were attempted at the time.
The Sheriff’s Office says he was alone at the time of the accident and was found by his fiancee.
The accident was reported around 7:45.
