(KAIR)--Two land behind bars—on double-theft and burglary charges.
“We responded to a residence in the 600 block of Parallel Street on Sept. 7 to investigate a burglary,” said Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson. “During that investigation, we located outside the residence a stolen vehicle that had been taken earlier that day in St. Joseph—specifically a 1998 Volkswagen.”
Wilson says officers first arrested St. Joseph resident 27-year-old Lexie Droz in connection with the vehicle theft Saturday.
However, Droz was later arrested again Monday for the burglary case.
Later in the day Monday, 44-year-old Chad Gorrell, of Atchison, was arrested on the same charges as Droz.
Both were booked into the Atchison County Jail where they remain.
Droz, on a $7,500 bond; Gorrell, without bond.
