(KNZA)--An elderly St. Joseph man was struck and killed by a car in Andrew County late Saturday night.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol identified the victim as 87-year-old Charley Schrupp.
The Patrol says it happened on Route K, south of I-229, around 11:00.
The Patrol says 39-year-old Savannah resident Randy Dudley was southbound when he attempted to go around a vehicle on the southbound shoulder and struck Schrupp who was in the middle of the roadway.
Schrupp was pronounced dead at the scene.
