(KMZA)--A Dawson, Nebraska man charged in connection with a shooting at the Old Sabetha Lake over the Memorial Day weekend has pleaded no contest to charges.
The Nemaha County Attorney’s Office says 59-year-old Anthony Leftwich recently entered the plea in Nemaha County District Court to charges contained in an amended complaint of one count each of aggravated battery and criminal threat.
Sentencing was set for September 29th.
Authorities says Leftwich shot rural Bern resident Thad Lambrecht
multiple times early May 29th following an argument at the lake. A handgun was recovered at the scene.
Lambrecht was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries and then transported to a Kansas City hospital.
