(KLZA)--Setbacks in the sale of local school property.
That word from HTRS Superintendent Sherri Edumundson following a recent discovery.
“We have learned that the football field at Table Rock was purchased with Wildlife and Parks Water Conservation Funds,” Edmundson said. “So it’s part of a grant and we have to follow the guidelines of that grant in order to sell it.”
She added they’ll have to use funds from the sale to purchase something else for outdoor recreation.
Since the process takes up to six months, she says the football field and track will not auction with the rest of the building and grounds of the old Table Rock site on Sept. 24.
She said they’re exploring options of what to purchase as well as the possibility of keeping the field and track as is.
The decision of further action will be made sometime in the future.
