(KNZA)--A Brown County man has been arrested on suspicion of solicitation to commit first-degree murder.
According to the Brown County Jail roster, 39-year-old Douglas Wayne Mueller was booked into the Brown County Jail Sunday evening following his arrest by the Brown County Sheriff's Department.
Brown County Sheriff John Merchant said Monday he couldn’t comment on the case at this time as it still remains under investigation.
Brown County Attorney Kevin Hill said he's awaiting receipt of reports from the Brown County Sheriff's Office and an out of state law enforcement agency that originally referred the case to local law enforcement for review. Once received, Hill says the reports will be reviewed for determination of whether formal charges will be filed.
