(KLZA)-- A Fairbury, Nebraska couple suffered serious injuries in a Saturday afternoon wreck about four miles west of Rock Port, Missouri.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says two eastbound vehicles were involved in the wreck at about 5:20 on U.S. Highway 136.
The Patrol says a 1997 Subaru Legacy driven by 65-year-old William Robbins of Fairbury was attempting to turn north onto Route D when an eastbound 1997 Ford Pickup driven by 28-year-old Tanner Todd of Kansas City, Missouri attempted to overtake the car. The pickup struck the rear drivers side of the car.
William Robbins was transported to the Nemaha County Hospital in Auburn. A passenger in his vehicle, 64-year-old Paula Robbins, was transported by Lifenet Air Ambulance to the Creighton Medical Center in Omaha. Todd refused treatment.
All three people were wearing safety restraints at the time of the wreck.
