(KNZA)--The identity of an Everest, Kansas man killed Tuesday morning in a single-vehicle Platte County, Missouri wreck has been made public.
According to an obit from the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Highland, the victim was 47-year-old Michael Scott Cunningham.
The Platte County Sheriff’s Office says Cunningham was northbound on Highway 45 near Iatan when his semi-truck crossed the centerline, went down an embankment, and struck a tree.
Cunningham was transported to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
The wreck, which was reported shortly after 9:30 Tuesday morning, remains under investigation.
Funeral arrangements for Cunningham are pending.
