(KAIR)--The Holton man, charged with sex-related crimes in four separate cases dating back to early 2014, is set to make another court appearance next month.
That follows a continuance granted Thursday in Jackson County District Court for 21-year-old Jacob Ewing.
In the meantime, Ewing, despite the nature of his alleged crimes, including rape, remains free on bond.
Jackson County Attorney Shawna Miller tells MSC News the continuance granted on all four pending cases, came at the request of the defense.
The next court date for Ewing is now set for the morning of August 18th.
Earlier this month, Ewing was arrested, and jailed, in connection with violating the conditions of his parole. That happened after he was accused of driving under the influence.
However, he has since been released on bond, despite Miller's contention that Ewing's probation should be revoked.
Miller, following Ewing's alcohol related arrest, filed motions requesting that his probation be revoked in that case and his bond revoked in connection with the sex-crimes.
A hearing on that matter has not yet happened.
Including the DUI, Ewing has been arrested five times since May, with four of those made in connection with the alleged sex crimes.
