The Kansas Water Office is excited to provide an opportunity to see the function of a Water Technology Farm firsthand at a field day on Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016. The day will showcase the technology that has been implemented at T&O Farms, LLC, in Finney County.
Beginning at 10 a.m., T&O Farms owner, Tom Willis, will kick off the event by sharing his vision involving the farm. Comments will be provided by others such as Governor Sam Brownback, Kansas Water Office Director Tracy Streeter, Kansas Department of Agriculture-Div. of Water Resources and K-State Research and Extension. A tour of the farm is scheduled followed by lunch courtesy of Conestoga Energy Partners.
T&O Farms is one of three Water Technology Farms that were created recently in response to public input and identified in the Long-Term Vision for the Future of Water Supply in Kansas. It is located 15 miles south of Garden City on Highway 83, west on T.V. Road, then south on Stone Road.
