(KAIR)--The man who was shot in the chest mere weeks ago in Atchison County now faces charges related to the incident.
A report from the Atchison County Sheriff Department says Bradley Schlicker, of Topeka, was arrested Monday on charges of criminal possession of a firearm, criminal use of a weapon, possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
The arrest was the result of an Atchison County District Court warrant.
It was June 4 when a shooting in rural Atchison left Schlicker severely wounded with a gunshot wound to the chest.
“He was also in possession of a firearm the evening he was shot,” Atchison County Sherriff Jack Laurie Said. “With his criminal background, he wasn’t able to possess that firearm.”
At the time, Schlicker was living with Nicole Fox, of Valley Falls, who faced charges of her own regarding the incident including possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of meth. Fox will learn her fate Aug. 12.
Schlicker was taken to the Atchison County Jail where he’s held on a $25,000 bond.
