(KNZA)--A jury trial has been set for a Holton man accused of killing his wife.
Jackson County Attorney Shawna Miller says that came Friday after George Fleshman, Jr. pleaded " not guilty" to a charge of second-degree murder.
Miller says a five-day jury trial was set, beginning January 30th of next year.
Fleshman is charged in the death of his 62-year-old wife, Elizabeth, at the couple's residence last October.
Jackson County Sheriff Tim Morse says an autopsy shows she died due to trauma to the spleen.
Fleshman was arrested in March following an investigation by the Jackson County Sheriff's Department.
He remains free on a $75,000 bond.
